Leah Hager

2025 Dance Scholarship Recipient

Leah, a dedicated dancer from Ladera Ranch, California, has used movement as her form of expression since she was two years old. For her, dance is a language that speaks louder than words, allowing her to communicate emotions, grow as a person, and envision a future on stage. She plans to pursue a BFA in dance performance and dreams of performing and choreographing with professional companies. This summer, with the support of the Anthony Quinn Foundation, she will take a significant step toward that goal.

Attending Interlochen Arts Academy for high school deeply shaped Leah’s training, offering daily technique classes and regular performances that helped her fall in love with ballet and the art of performance. Her recent summer studies in modern and contemporary dance expanded her versatility and fueled her appreciation for the richness and depth of multiple styles. This commitment to becoming a well-rounded artist drives her pursuit of continued training.

Leah will attend Complexions Contemporary Ballet Academy this summer, where she plans to push her technique further and explore the blend of ballet and modern dance. She looks forward to refining her artistry, deepening her connection to movement, and gaining the skills and insight needed to pursue her professional dreams.
