Kaylee Corley
2025 Theatre Scholarship Recipient
Kaylee, a passionate young actor from Mobile, Alabama, fell in love with theatre before she even understood what it was. As a child, she created elaborate Christmas performances with her siblings, directing them with intense dedication and joy. While the final shows often went off-script, they ignited in her a deep sense of fulfillment that has stayed with her ever since. That same excitement and commitment have driven her throughout her seven-year journey in theatre.
At just 13, Kaylee made the bold decision to move four hours away from home to attend the Alabama School of Fine Arts, seeking growth beyond the limits of her local theatre program. Her love for the stage has grown alongside her appreciation for theatre’s emotional depth and power to connect. She finds beauty in the unpredictability of live performance and believes deeply in theatre’s ability to foster empathy and understanding, quoting August Wilson as a reminder of the art form’s transformative potential.
With support from the Anthony Quinn Foundation, Kaylee will attend ArtsBridge’s Dramatic Acting program this summer. She looks forward to challenging herself in a professional environment where she can refine her craft, expand her perspective, and continue her journey toward a life in the theatre.
