Elanor Rubin

2025 Theatre Scholarship Recipient

Elanor, a passionate performer from Rockville Centre, NY, discovered her love for theatre in third grade through community productions. What began as a comforting after-school hobby soon turned into a deep commitment. Voice lessons and early cabarets helped her grow, and when the pandemic paused live performance, she found new opportunities through virtual masterclasses. These experiences opened her eyes to the possibility of pursuing theatre as a lifelong path, one where she finds a sense of home in every role and production.

Despite building a strong local foundation, Elanor has rarely ventured far from home. Now a high school junior, she’s eager to step into an immersive experience that challenges her artistically and personally. She believes that training in a new environment with equally passionate peers will push her to new heights and better prepare her for the next stage in her artistic journey—college and beyond.

This summer, with support from the Anthony Quinn Foundation, Elanor will attend MTCA’s Summer College Faculty Masterclass Week. She hopes the program will not only sharpen her performance skills but also surround her with others who share her dedication to making people feel the way theatre has always made her feel—joyful, inspired, and understood.
