Rachel Rudolph latest’ musical theatre performances
In June 2022, Rachel was nominated for Best Actress at the Blumey Awards in Charlotte, NC for her performance as "Miss Honey" in Matilda. Playing this role was a dream come true for Rachel, and in her own words:
“I wouldn't have been able to earn this nomination without the help of the Anthony Quinn Foundation. The intensives that I attended because of this scholarship helped foster my artistic capabilities in immeasurable ways. I am so thankful for the Anthony Quinn Foundation for being a part of my journey in Musical Theatre.”
In May 2023 Rachel completed her first year at NYU Tisch studying Musical Theatre at the New Studio on Broadway. During her first year, she was cast in a new musical reading, and worked on a workshop production of a new Andrew Lippa Revue. Rachel was named to the Dean's List for academic and artistic recognition during her first year as well!
In July 2023, she played Emma in Charlotte, NC's regional premiere of "The Prom" at Theatre Charlotte, directed by Tony-award winning director Corey Mitchell. Being a part of this production was so special for her. It was a fantastic way to apply the skills she had acquired after her first year of training, and also an incredible way to reach out to the community. The production collected donations for Time Out Youth in support of the local queer community. Rachel also participated in a talkback with Charlotte's branch of PFLAG where they discussed the process of bringing this relevant story to the stage.
“I am thankful to the Anthony Quinn Foundation for investing in and supporting my journey.”
